The compromise and understanding between the industry and academe is necessary because these two worlds always complement each other. This Professional Master’s program offers a dynamic interface between (1) highly motivated students who are eager to put their knowledge into real-world applications through the Bac+5 project framework; and (2) industrialists and professional innovators, who have a set of priority or urgent needs over a period of one year. The internship program between the industry and the university over a period of 12 months would allow the students to achieve this program’s objectives and achieve success at all levels.

Another point that contributes to the success of the program is the union of industrial companies and prominent academic institutions, including the Ecole National Supérieure des Mines de Paris (ENSMP) and the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), who are the original partners of this master’s program. Many research professors put their laboratories in scientific support for this Professional Master’s program to address challenges in different areas such as materials in the biomedical field, in aerospace, specialty materials, agri-food, or for the general public.

In addition to the Professional Master’s degree that a student would obtain upon the completion of the program, he/she is also given access to the engineering degree programs being offered by the the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM).

Lastly, multinational companies are employing graduates of the Professional Master’s degree in N.I.C.E. as project managers and as for higher managerial positions for those who continued with a doctoral training.
