Experience

The CUEFLE (University Center for Teaching French as a Foreign Language) is one of the four parts of the SCL (Languages Common Service) of the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis.
This education center comes from a long tradition in teaching French language to students from abroad. Every year, the CUEFLE receives students from all over the world, who want to hone their knowledge of French. French as a Foreign Language teachers, who wish to dynamise their professional educational practice, are also welcome.

Quality

Teacher's Team

A dynamic team of teachers, who all have a university diploma in French teaching (French teachers certificated in secondary education or Master's Degree in French as a Foreign Language), is coordinated by a Director of Studies.

A pedagogical approach based on action

Every class is created according to the direction of the Common European Framework of Reference (CECRL). The pedagogical documents used are numerous: from more recent methods to authentic documents. Using this method, the students are acquainted with French in various situations of communication and they become more independent outside of a classroom.

The classes take place in multimedia labs, audio-visual rooms or standard classrooms.

We guarantee high quality services for every aspect of a French class in France: teaching, leisure, support. Such quality is officially known as the “Qualité Français Langue Etrangère” (French as a Foreign Language Quality). It is a labelgiven both by the Ministry of Education and supperior Education, Ministry of culture and Communication, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

All the courses are structured according to the instructions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).

Language Ressource Centre
