For the most part, the principles for the job-interview courses for the above programmes will be similar.  They are therefore grouped here under one link.  However, the actual details of the course will vary according to the class.  They may even vary considerably.  It is the stuednt's individual responsibility to make sure that they use their common sense and adapt in a positive and constructive way to such variations.  Any student seen or appearing to take advantage will have their grade reduced.

Because we do not have many sessions together, it is essential that you come to the classes fully prepared, so we can start begin work immediately.  'Fully prepared' means making a copy of the check list, completing all the items and bringing it to the first session.

If you do not prepare fully, then it would be best for you to skip this course entirely.

What you get out of the course depends largely on what you put into it!

The course is conducted in a professional manner, with professional training methods as used in industry.  You are therefore expected to behave in a professional manner and adopt a professional attitude.  Immature behaviour stops others in the course from learning and it stops me from doing my job.  Unprofessional (immature) behaviour will result in your being asked to leave the room.

On entry into the room, students will switch off all electronic devices (laptops, phones, tablets, etc).  Only those specifically allowed for a given task on the course will be allowed for the time of the task.  If you are too addicted to your electronic device, better not to come to class; you have to choose the class or the electronic device.

Job interviews require appropriate clothing.  For this course, you cannot wear a simple T-shirt or ragged jeans.  You need to dress smart, but it can be informal.  You are not required to wear a tie or a suit.

Before the first class, you need to prepare a certain number of documents (e.g., your CV, job announcements).  You must prepare the items in order to participate in the training.

Peace and survival of life on Earth as we know it are threatened by human activities that lack a commitment to humanitarian values.  Destruction of nature and natural resources results from ignorance, greed, and a lack of respect for the Earth's living things... .  It is not difficult to forgive destruction in the past, which resulted from ignorance.  Today, however, we have access to more information, and it is essential that we re-examine ethically what we have inherited, what we are responsible for, and what we will pass on to coming generations.  Clearly this is a pivotal generation... .  Our marvels of science and technology are matched if not outweighed by many current tragedies, including human starvation in some parts of the world, and extinction of other life forms... .  We have the capability and responsibility.  We must act before it is too late.  Tenzin Gyatso the fourteenth Dalai Lama.
