Although there are synonyms that would be absolutely correct, we have only accepted the words that you will need to understand the article in the next exercise. Please make a note of the words you didn't know. This is a good way to build up vocabulary.

An amount of something available for use (a noun) -- It's the opposite of "demand" in economics.
A standard by which something can be measured or judged ( a noun) -- You can sit on the first five letters of this word in a park.
Not processed (in this case, it concerns oil) ( an adjective)
To eliminate completely and without a trace (a verb) -- It's a compound verb.
